Why Dallas?

Every chapter has a place where its story begins.

For ONYX Lone Star, that place is Dallas–Fort Worth.

From the very beginning, a clear vision for creating safe spaces, promoting positive representation, and building a stronger community for BIPOC men in the leather and kink community for the West South-Central division of the South region of the U.S. was established.

Dallas wasn't chosen simply because of geography. It was a growing center for community, connection, and opportunity. Its central location also made it an ideal home for a regional chapter serving Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, and New Mexico.

From this vision grew a chapter dedicated to the ONYX mission of Educate • Explore • Empower and a legacy that continues to strengthen the brotherhood today.

Every journey begins somewhere. For ONYX Lone Star, it began in Dallas.
