Protocol and Consent looks at how clear expectations and communication support respectful and responsible power exchange. In this class, Awol ONYX discusses what protocol is, how it is commonly used, and where consent must always remain central. Participants will review basic tools for communication, boundary setting, and checking in, with an emphasis on understanding that protocol does not replace consent. This session is intended as a practical conversation to support safer interactions and shared understanding within the community.
T.E.A.C.H. is an ongoing educational lecture and skills-based demonstration series focused on leadership, safety, consent, and cultural history within the leather and alternative-lifestyle communities. The program is created by, for, and about Men of Color, with the goal of increasing access to knowledge, resources, and mentorship in spaces where representation has historically been limited.
